Venture capital firm Paradigm is raising a $1.5 billion fund to invest in artificial intelligence, robotics, and other frontier technologies, signaling a strategic expansion beyond its crypto roots. The San Francisco-based investor will maintain its blockchain commitments while diversifying into adjacent sectors.

Paradigm's technical team will spearhead deals in emerging fields without creating a separate division. The MOVE reflects growing convergence between AI and crypto, with applications ranging from autonomous payments to smart contract security.

With $12.7 billion in assets under management, Paradigm previously launched record-breaking crypto funds including a $2.5 billion vehicle in 2021. The new initiative addresses concerns about missing cross-sector opportunities in computing and automation.
